Annette is a Mentor in Practical Legal Training to full time blended/online trainees.

 

Before Leo Cussen

Prior to becoming a mentor at Leo Cussen, Annette worked in a small CBD corporate and commercial practice as well as at community legal centres.

Areas of Current Practice
Annette continues to work as a Director at WEstjustice, a community legal centre in Melbourne’s West. Prior to commencing at Leo Cussen, Annette was the Legal Director of the Family Violence and Family Law team. She brings over 10 years of experience in the community legal sector assisting priority clients with family violence, family law, debts and fines and many other practice areas.

Annette is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.

 

Achievements/Special Interests

Annette is a governance group member of the Western Integrated Family Violence Committee (WIFVC). WIFVC is a family violence sector-wide reference group comprising key stakeholders committed to reducing family violence in Melbourne’s West. The role of the WIFVC is to provide regional leadership in service integration and planning, policy and advocacy to improve service responses to family violence in the west.

Annette also has a special interest in clinical legal education within community legal centres. Annette is committed to the legal assistance sector and hopes to inspire junior lawyers to incorporate volunteer work in their future careers.
Annette was also one of the original members of the Melbourne Lawyers Orchestra when it formed in 2015.
