Angela entered the legal profession after a successful career in music performance and education. After completing her PLT at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law, she was an investigator at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, focussing on enforcement of the consumer law and working on Federal Court litigation.

Angela subsequently practised in criminal law as a solicitor advocate, appearing in all Victorian courts in summary and indicatable matters. This included representing clients in contested hearings, bail applications, pleas, appeals. Angela also instructed in trials and interlocutory applications as well as appearing in quasi-criminal matters such as infringements, regulatory and intervention order matters.

In addition to working in private practice, Ange has worked at Victoria Legal aid in Civil Justice, Access and Equity and for many years, volunteered her expertise to assist vulnerable and disadvantaged clients through community legal centres. These roles were especially satisfying in that Angela was able to assist many clients, with complex needs and issues and from linguistic and culturally diverse backgrounds, to navigate the legal system.

Ange continues to consult in criminal law and has particular interest in court advocacy.
