Do I need to graduate from university before enrolling in PLT?
No, you can enrol and start your PLT before you’ve finished your law degree.
If you want to start your PLT while you finish your law degree, you’ll need to have only one or two electives left.
By enrolling early, you’ll secure your place and avoid missing out.
What do I have to pay when I submit my enrolment?
If you have access to FEE-HELP, you can pay all or part of your tuition fees with the loan. If you’re paying the fees privately, you won’t need to pay any fees until your enrolment is accepted.
Once you’re accepted, a part tuition payment of $500 is required to secure your place in your chosen PLT program.
Payment plans may be available to those without access to FEE-HELP.
What are the fees?
The program fees are updated on our website regularly. There are two options with slightly differing costs, PLT program and PLT program with placement.
The option that includes placement means you can have your placement organised by us. We have an extensive network of law firms, in-house legal teams, community legal centres and government departments.
Can I defer after I’ve enrolled?
Yes, if you wish to defer after you’ve been offered a PLT place, you can always contact us to make an application to defer and start at a later date. We understand that plans can change!
What qualification will I receive after completing my PLT?
Upon completion of the PLT at Leo Cussen, you will be awarded a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP). With this qualification, you will be eligible to apply for admission to the legal profession in any Australian state or territory.
How long does PLT take?
Leo Cussen’s PLT program can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis.

The enrolment form will take less than 10 minutes to complete and secures your place in our PLT program. But don’t worry, enrolling only confirms your application, it doesn’t commit you to the program date. If life happens and you need to change the dates or cancel your enrolment, you still can.
