Develop the practical knowledge and skills required to establish and manage legal practice. Leo Cussen's Practice Management Course (PMC) is approved by the Victorian Legal Services Board & Commissioner and delivers training that prepares you for the responsibilities of legal practice.

How you'll learn

In our blended learning program, you will undertake the PMC partially online, complemented by a 3-day livestreamed workshop. Competency is assessed throughout the course, and upon successful completion you’ll receive a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion, 24 CPD points across all compulsory CPD categories and be ready to apply for your Principal Practising Certificate.

Day one - Your skills, your practice

Reflect on the skills and experience you bring to practice while developing the foundations of effective practice management. Explore your ethical responsibilities as a principal practitioner, identify your ideal clients and learn strategies to position and grow your practice.

Day two - Setting up for success

Build the leadership and management skills required to run a successful legal practice. Explore client engagement, strengthen your leadership approach and learn how to build, supervise and support a high-performing team.

Day three - Managing your practice

Discuss systems and structures for financial and matter management. Discover the opportunities and risks that AI & Technology offer you and your firm while setting yourself up for your future. You will complete learning activities both online and during three live-streamed workshop days that enable interaction, questions and discussion.
