Can I use FEE-HELP to pay for my PLT?
Find out how FEE-HELP can help cover your PLT tuition fees and what other payment options are available.
Did you know you may be able to use FEE-HELP to pay for your Practical Legal Training (PLT)?
If you’re eligible, FEE-HELP can be used to cover all or part of your PLT tuition fees, depending on your available HELP balance. If you have HELP balance remaining after university, you may be able to put this towards your PLT and pay any difference yourself.
Here’s what you need to know about using FEE-HELP for PLT.
How does FEE-HELP work for PLT?
FEE-HELP is a government loan that helps eligible students pay tuition fees for higher education. Rather than paying your eligible PLT tuition fees upfront, the amount you borrow is added to your HELP debt.
How much you can use will depend on your eligibility and available HELP balance.
With FEE-HELP and flexible payment options available, you can focus on choosing the PLT experience that’s right for you.
Professional placement
If you choose a Leo Cussen organised placement, eligible students may also be able to add their placement fee to FEE-HELP.
What if FEE-HELP doesn’t cover all my PLT?
If your available HELP balance doesn’t cover the full tuition fee, you can use your remaining FEE-HELP balance and pay the difference yourself.
If you don’t have access to FEE-HELP, you may also be able to apply for a payment plan to help spread the cost of your PLT.
