Concurrent Study - Leo Cussen

Apply to the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) before commencing PLT. Your application must include:

• A completed application form
• A statement explaining why you’re applying for concurrent study and your ability to undertake both PLT and your remaining university subjects
• A supporting letter from your Law School Dean
• Confirmation that you have no more than two remaining academic subjects, neither of which are Priestley 11 admission requirements

Apply to the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia by submitting a signed statutory declaration. Your application should include:

• Your university and degree details
• Confirmation that you have completed all Priestley 11 admission requirements
• Confirmation that you have no more than two remaining elective subjects, including your expected completion dates
• Details of your proposed PLT commencement and completion dates
• A current academic transcript or statement of academic record

Apply online through the Victorian Legal Admissions Board before commencing PLT.

When completing your application, indicate that you have commenced PLT before completing your academic studies.

Approval should be obtained at least one month before your intended PLT commencement, and evidence of approval must be provided to Leo Cussen before your program begins.

Before commencing PLT, contact the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board (LPAB) to obtain approval for concurrent study.

Applications are made directly to the Board by email.

Concurrent Study is not available in the ACT. You must complete your law degree before commencing PLT unless exceptional circumstances apply.
