At Leo Cussen

Robin is a Lawyer Mentor in Practical Legal Training to full time trainees. He has a passion to develop the practical skills of trainees and invest in the long term success of their legal careers, which includes teaching sustainable management styles for future leaders to improve the working environment for the legal profession as a whole.

Robin is the Practice Group Leader for Banking and Finance.

 

Before Leo Cussen

Robin was the property division manager at a national law firm, having built the practice and its processes from the ground up. The bulk of his practice involved residential real estate developers and foreign investors in Australian real estate. Robin assisted a high volume of overseas investors from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China and was involved in many of Melbourne’s newest and largest highrise projects as well as land developments along Melbourne’s urban fringe.

Earlier in his career, Robin gained experience in a wide range of legal areas, including commercial litigation, family law and immigration.

Achievements/Special Interests

Robin has assisted in property development site acquisitions and disposals, including acquisitions from government bodies of up to $30,000,000 and luxury penthouse acquisitions of up to $20,000,000. He delivered a number of presentations to overseas investors, as well as to visiting Chinese judges on the Australian legal system.

Robin is a lifelong martial artist and enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and board games in his spare time.
