At Leo Cussen
George is a part-time Mentor in Practical Legal Training, working with trainees in the online course. As part of his role, George teaches in small group sessions with trainees in the intensive foundation skills module at the commencement of the course and at times instructs in the Commercial and Corporate practice topic and in the Client/Lawyer Interview Program.
He continues to practise in the areas of transactional commercial law and transactional banking and finance. Outside his role at Leo Cussen, George periodically undertakes in-house legal secondments supporting the legal function within large corporates and regulatory agencies.
Before Leo Cussen
George was admitted to the legal profession in 2001 and has extensive and varied experience as a lawyer in the areas of general commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance. He has worked at both small firms and large national firms, and has a broad range of commercial experience, ranging from retail clients to the large corporate institutions.

George is a member of Australian Corporate Lawyers Association.
Achievements/Special Interests
During his time in private legal practice, George developed a particular interest in practical legal education and in mentoring trainee lawyers, and he enjoys the opportunity in these areas offered by his role at Leo Cussen.
He has a keen and particular interest in world history, conflict resolution, international relations, learning European languages and literature.
