At Leo Cussen
Ann is a key participant in the design, development and delivery of Practical Legal Training at Leo Cussen Centre for Law. She has been actively involved in online learning and teaching design, and in the delivery of our online (blended learning) PLTC since 2004.
Ann is Topic Coordinator for a broad range of fundamental skills-based topics within the PLTC delivered in intensive face to face small group instruction sessions at the start of the PLT to provide a basis for all trainees to build on as they progress through the course.
In addition, Ann has extensive experience in the design and delivery of legal training courses to government departments, law firms and organisations in Victoria and interstate. She continues to conduct an annual skills workshop for the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course and she has designed and delivered two courses in Papua New Guinea. She also instructed for the Master Builders Association for a number of years in their domestic builders’ registration course.
Ann has co-authored and delivered a range of papers and workshops at annual conferences for the Australian Professional Legal Education Council. These papers and workshops related to delivery and design of practical legal training; and to the admission process for applicants to the legal profession, particularly the disclosure requirements.
Ann has a long history of working pro bono to assist applicants making disclosure to the Victorian Legal Admissions Committee as part of their application for admission to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Before Leo Cussen
Ann came to Leo Cussen with extensive and varied experience as a lawyer, including as a Principal in her own legal practice and she continued to conduct her own practice in the areas of Property Law, Family Law, General Practice and Mediation until recently.

Ann is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
She has also been a member of the Board of Management of Noble Park Mediation Centre.
As Course Design Coordinator, Ann sits on Leo Cussen’s Academic Committee, and the Progress Sub Committee and the Skills Sub Committee.
Achievements/Special Interests
Ann was a finalist in the Access to Justice/Pro Bono award category in the 2015 Law Institute of Victoria Awards in recognition of her pro bono work, assisting candidates seeking admission to the legal profession in making the required disclosures.
Outside the law, Ann is a partner in a local winery with her husband Peter.
